For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16
How comforting it is to know that we have someone who empathizes with us, someone we can turn to with confidence to bare our hearts without the need for intermediaries. This friend understands the depths of our struggles, ready to listen and lift the burdens we carry. Jesus, our compassionate friend, invites us to approach Him and receive His grace, as Jeremiah 29:13-14 assures us: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you…”
In both bright days and dark nights, in any circumstance and at any hour, we can call upon Him and find solace in His presence. His love knows no bounds, reaching out to us regardless of our past mistakes. He restores our souls and grants us the strength to persevere.
His friendship and love are available to each of us if we seek Him. No matter what we’ve done or where we’ve been, nothing can separate us from His unwavering love. If you feel alone today, I encourage you to call upon His name and draw near to Him. His ears are open, His eyes attentive, waiting for us to seek Him with all our hearts. Jesus is faithful, our ever-present High Priest, ready to welcome us into His loving embrace.
