My Story

A Non-Artist Story

My professional journey began in physical therapy, a field I’m deeply passionate about. Through it, I’ve had the privilege of helping others.  Early on, in search of my true calling, I explored various interests, from sculpting clay in my youth to briefly considering industrial engineering. Reflecting on my youth, growing up in Cali, Colombia, the “salsa city” I remember visions of myself painting, and I also remember overlooking those visions.  I never considered myself an artist.  I did remain determined to pursue my passion for helping others and eventually found my calling in physical therapy. I’ve come to realize that God works in mysterious ways and reveals Himself in due time. As a believer in His guidance, I’ve learned to trust that He can transform our lives and lead us to paths far better than we could have imagined.

One afternoon on October 20, 2021, my journey took an artistic turn. It all began with a calling in my heart, a gentle voice urging me to “start painting”. It was a feeling that I will never forget!  Encouraged by the feeling I believe God placed in my heart, I dedicated myself to painting nearly every day.  Some days, I found myself unsure of my next steps. There were moments when I didn’t know how to translate the visions from my mind onto the canvas. Despite this uncertainty, I choose to believe and persisted, unaware that a year later, art would become an integral part of my healing process. This newfound passion became a lifeline during a challenging period in November 2022 when I faced a cancer diagnosis. Painting provided solace, helping me navigate uncertainty and find purpose amidst adversity. God is good!

Today, art is not merely a new passion but a transformative force, serving as both a means of expression and a source of healing and joy. Each piece is an expression of gratitude to God for the gift of creativity He has given me. Through Art, I celebrate the beauty inherent in all creation and I intend to spread a message of light and hope for those who are struggling with challenges, letting them know they are not alone.

The dream of launching my online store to share my art with you has now become a reality and it fills me with immense joy.  It is my prayer is that you feel enveloped in the boundless love of God and that my art might be just a small part of that process.

Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share the non-artist story that God has led me on.

Warm regards,

Alexandra

ROMANS 11:36

Within each of us, God has provided a calling and the ability to fulfill it. When we trust and persevere, despite life's challenges, God empowers us to shine. I urge you to heed the call of our Creator. Embrace his guidance, believing in his purpose, and committing each day to honoring Him.
Let us be vessels of His love, spreading light and bringing glory to our Father's kingdom.
